Rent Lapland — Terms of Service Last updated: July 2026 1. About Rent Lapland Rent Lapland is an online marketplace that connects vehicle owners ("Providers") with people wishing to rent vehicles ("Renters"). We are not a party to any rental agreement. All rental contracts are made directly between the Provider and the Renter. 2. Eligibility To make a booking you must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver's licence for the vehicle category, and provide accurate personal information. 3. Bookings and payments Payments are processed securely via Stripe. A refundable security deposit is charged at the time of booking. Rent Lapland collects payment on behalf of the Provider and remits it minus our platform fee. 4. Cancellations and refunds The security deposit is charged at the time of booking and refunded following a successful return, subject to the vehicle being returned in the same condition as received, with the agreed fuel level, on time, and in compliance with the rental contract terms. The Provider reserves the right to retain the deposit in full or in part to cover damage, missing fuel, late return, excessive cleaning, or any other breach of the rental contract terms. Any deposit decision will be communicated to the Renter within 48 hours of vehicle return. Renter cancellation terms are set out in the rental contract. Provider cancellation terms are set out in the rental contract. 5. Our role and liability Rent Lapland is a platform intermediary only. We do not own, operate, or inspect the vehicles listed on our platform. We are not liable for the condition of vehicles, accidents, injuries, or any loss arising from a rental agreement between a Provider and Renter. Each Provider is responsible for their own insurance, vehicle roadworthiness, and compliance with Finnish traffic law. 6. Prohibited use You may not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, to provide false information, or to circumvent our payment system. 7. Governing law These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes shall be resolved in the District Court of Lapland (Lapin käräjäoikeus) or through the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta.fi) for consumer disputes. 8. Changes We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance. Contact info@rentlapland.com
